Easter Weekend

With such glorious weather forecast for this weekend I was really looking forward to making a dent in our garden. Here are some snaps over the past few days:

I love these alliums and had planted them in combination with Queen of the Night Tulips as the colours are so sumptuous, but sadly a little person decided to get picking.....

Perhaps a little OTT on the plant buying front.....still have yet to plant them all!

Helping with making the Easter tree. I feel it is important to hand some traditions down and this is one of them!

Relaxing in her new chair

Basket of goodies
The usual cake.

Newly planted vege bed although I am wondering where the runner and broad beans, tomatoes, courgettes, artichokes etc are suppose to go. Hmmmmm!

And after three years of being dormant, the herb 'bath' has been given new life by the back door.

Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow......!

Easter Visit

With Richard away, Isobel and I braved the car journey on our own and went down to Somerset to stay with Granny for Easter. We were very lucky with the weather and Isobel seemed to enjoy seeing the little lambs frolicking about in the field. We made a quick escape from
one field after the sheep decided to be approach us in a vocal manner......
Isobel found Russet fascinating and Russet in turn was very patient. On Easter Sunday we had a lovely lunch and then Granny Mary (great Granny), Robert and Badral and cousins arrived for tea.

As well as walks, shopping (for Miss I of course)it was warm enough to sit outside
and enjoy a kick around on the grass.
