Freshly painted

It took about a week - off an on, but we now have a freshly painted sitting room which makes the room look very different. The skirting boards now fixed in place so Isobel can no longer detach and wheel them around the room. Most of the shelving wood was recycled from the endless built in cupboards upstairs, the fire surround was being thrown by a neighbour - so quite a 'green' renovation. The fireplace slate is still to be done - hoping to go and look at some tiles tomorrow. Next week we will have been in the house for a year!
