Winter Wonderland

The snow has been pretty timely so far - a fall on Saturday night just in time for Sunday play. Then again last night, but the sun has melted most of it away and the roads and paths are clear. Not fun pushing a buggy through the snow.....

I was hoping to upload a video here of Isobel sledging, but unfortunately it seems to be coming up with errors. She finds it very exciting this year - especially as she thinks the fairies make it snow....

Shepherds' Warning

Last Saturday at breakfast time, a red light glowed through our front door glass:

Sure enough it wasn't long before the snowflakes began to fall (again):

Earlier in the week, Richard had spotted the sleighs were back in stock so having taken about 10 minutes to dress Isobel for the chilly weather, she was sliding around:

But literally two (maybe three) minutes later she was back inside exclaiming it was too cold.....So we stayed inside and made some gingerbread:

Yannick allowed Isobel within more than a metre (second time ever...):

And I finished a cardy for nextdoor's new arrival:

And made a Christmas wreath for the front door. Bay leaves are suppose to bring fame and fortune. The latter would be nice....

Let it Snow....

Or maybe not.....All very pretty, but no luck in getting to work today. Standing at the bus stop with no sign of the red machines, waiting passengers checking their iphones to discover no trains are running,   tubes were delayed so I decided to turn back and start working from home.  This morning Richard took Isobel to the park to meet up with Nye and Isla including cake in the cafe - sadly East Dulwich had sold out of sleighs!

Chilly....

Isobel did find it all too cold and seemed very keen to get back home.

White garden - snow is glistening!
