Words and Visitors

Isobel has been uttering a few new sounds. Good Girl seems to be the favourite. Although Good Girl was said as she was flinging some yogurt or some such, but she gets it most the time. Downstairs, all gone and Teddy are also new to the vocab. Due to the fact Isobel doesn't have enough toys (ahem) we bought her a little pram and she just loves pushing it around - usually with dolly not in it!

On Sunday Liz, Dan and Natalie came over for lunch and it was fun to see them again - we always leave it far too long. Always amazing to see how the girls have changed. Isobel was asleep when they arrived so emergying from her sleep she initially wasn't quite sure about all these people in the kitchen. However it didn't take her long to get into the swing of things.

After a walk and madame consuming a whole muffin, she had a second wind and did her first round of washing up!

Aunties Visits

Auntie Heledd made the trip down from Harlech, North Wales to see her little niece last weekend and arrived on Saturday with Auntie Jude.

Isobel was so excited and having eaten alfresco and shown Heledd all her kicking tricks in the bath (a drenched Heledd) it was all far too exciting to contemplate going to sleep. Much excitement when both Aunties appeared before breakfast time - Oooh - did I mention proper crawling too? However, by early afternoon and after a lovely picnic in the park, it did all seem a bit much :(

Sunshine & Richard's Birthday

The last week has been lovely and sunny - warm enough for a Summer dress outing and the factor 50! Sadly the sun didn't make an appearance for today - Richard's birthday which was a shame, but we still had fun. His Mum and Dad drove down from Harlech to spend the day with us - Isobel thought it was VERY exciting and had lots of smiles for her Nain and Taid.

Richard requested the usual birthday cake: Nigella's Guinness Cake so in my usual mad way I started making it before 8am! Anyway, it was delicious:
The two men went into East Dulwich and you might have been mistaken as to whose birthday it was as Isobel was showered in presents on their return. The main pressie was a bouncer for the doorway which she got the hang of very quickly! Note to mum: don't wear a dress if bouncer is in the plan for the day!

Despite the rain, we had a good day and Isobel thought it was very sad when her Nain and Taid had to leave......
